Thanks muchly for this!

My lamp wasn't working and by putting pressure on where the cable came out of the lamp casing it was clear that there was a loose or broken wire in there somewhere.

Your directions gave me the confidence to open the thing up and have a go at fixing it.

Sorted! There was a broken wire and after cutting a bit off both the red and the black wire and soldering the connections back on we are all systems go.

I should point out that I had to do the soldering twice as there is not much room for anything but the cleanest (or in my case second-time-luckyest) soldering so for others who plan on using these directions do take a good look at the angles of approach for the two wires as showen in the photos above.

Cheers!

Thanks for the information! If you stick with it long enough, you will eventually find something.
I notice I really have to pay attention "how" I run. If I just run normally, naturally, it is not proper or efficient.
What are you doing for hydration?

I have been drinking up to 100 oz. per day for 15 years. I notice lately it just does not hydrate me properly. Recently, I started drinking a 100% pure artesian spring water. It is alkaline and hydrates at a cellular level. It increases my performance. When I run, I can run faster, farther. My muscles feel good and my joints don't bother me either.
Do you know anyone that has experienced something like that?

Ok, so I just picked up a pair of 07' hardrocks on ebay today(April 15/2010), and wanted to let you all know that there are still a few sizes left. Notice that the 07's are 104.00 dollars and the 08's are 49 dollars. I cant wait to get these shoes out on my local wet Canadian mountains and trails. An avid runner and hiker that loves a great product. Scottie, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.

The blog is back, and you are on twitter! What about facebook? :-)

I look forward to hearing about your shoe surgeries. After Uhwarrie I made my 1st huaraches which are very fun, but I think I bruised my ball of foot running too fast in them. That 1st run I was hitting 7 minute miles flying down the trails because it was so fun.

The past month while the BOF had not gotten worse, it hadn't gotten any better. And then today after 2 miles barefoot yesterday, I feel it a little more, so I am going to give it some rest (as well as ice!)

I've heard that as well about the last. However, there were other serious problems with the construction and durability. The tread of my "Columbia" pair starting falling off after less than 200 miles. I couldn't even use them for yard work and threw them in the trash. And did the Asia factory also withhold the heel counter? Even if they did, that should've been easier to duplicate.

I have a friend that swears by the XA Pro's, but I personally never liked the lacing system that much, because it was impossible vary the tension of the lacing. I like to keep the laces tighter up top to lock the heel in place, but keep them looser near the forefoot. You just can't do that with the Salomon lacing system. Others may not find it to be an issue though.
